One of the fun things we did in Cabo was horseback riding. It was about 15 miles north of the town, and literally in the middle of nowhere. The sites were beautiful. We had a little bit of a rough start, but eventually we enjoyed the ride.
Manuel was our "guide". He came from the back of the "farm" with three horses, and asked me to pick my horse. I liked the lighter brown horse so I picked him, his name was Allassan and he seemed very mellow. Tim picked the gray horse, and the third, deeply brown colored horse was left for Manuel. After Manuel helped us get on our horses, he started walking towards his horse, and that one started running around frustrated. Manuel tried lasso him, but with no luck, the horse took off like crazy right into the bushes of cactuses... and we lost him... Next thing I see is Manuel on ATV going after the horse.... and I'd like to add that as this whole thing is happening, me and Tim are sitting on our horses, and they are just standing there, not tied to anything... just freestanding....
I started freaking out, I was so afraid that my horse would do the same that I started asking Tim to take me off the horse. Tim was sitting on his horse, and none of us wanted to anything to trigger them off... so I was just freaking out, and TK tried to calm me down... It was pretty crazy, and no one else around to help us. I imagined my horse taking off and loosing me somewhere in the middle of nowhere ...
About 10-15 minutes later we saw Manuel riding his horse back... I felt better, but still wasn't sure if I really wanted to do that.
We left the farm and followed the trail into the desert mountains. Horses were calm and laid back. The views were just amazing... It's hard to describe, untouched by human, wild trails going up and down the mountains, the Pacific Ocean shore so far away from the tourists, huge waves crushing onto the wide strip of beaches, or formations of rocks... it was so beautiful, and breathtaking... very relaxing and kind of romantic... we both loved it and we think that was the highlight of our trip. The photos will not do the justice:

As I mentioned before, we were honeymooning in Mexico - in Cabo San Lucas, located on the farthest tip of Baja California Sur (California Peninsula). We stayed there for over a week, and we got to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.
I booked our Honeymoon through Expedia , and we got unbelievable rate for air and hotels, well, resorts.
I decided to split our trip and stay in two different resorts, just to change it up, I didn't want us to get bored in one place. So after doing some research, I decided that we will stay on the Sea of Cortez side first, and than we will explore the Pacific side. I have to say it was a great idea, as both locations have such a different things to offer.
First few days we stayed at Pueblo Bonito Rose . Rose is located $6.00 cab ride from downtown Cabo, it's located on a super popular beach, waves are not that big, so you can actually swim in the sea. The picturesque view of the rocks is just breathtaking! Our suite was located on the top floor, and we had great, water view. It was amazing to get up in the morning and have a breakfast on our balcony, overlooking the city from the one side, and the sea from the other side. Sunsets were unbelievable, also. It was just a great trip. We enjoyed the pool, laying in the sun was just great, and the neverending margaritas! That's a life!
We enjoyed our couple's massage - thanks to Ryan and Chris! It was a nice relaxing morning. it was actually pretty eventfull for Tim, I guess he didn't understand the spanish-speaking spa attendant, and almost cooked hmself in the sauna... The weather was great for the whole time, we had cloudless sky and about a 100F everyday, so the frozen margaritas kept us nice and cool... and ocasionally dip in the pool helped. Here is few photos from Rose, and the beach...
Several days later we moved to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.
The resort was completely different. It was located on the pacific side of Cabo (about $10.00 cab fare to the city), and it is spread out oh the side of a hill. A lot of smaller buildings with suites are spread around all over the property. You can either walk or call a cart service and they will take you around the whole resort. Our suite had a spectacular view of the ocean, and those huge, enormous waves crushing the shore every minute... it was just beautiful, I don't even think I can describe it. We were located in the middle of the property, so it was a short walk to the lobby, and restaurants, and couple of flights of stairs to get to the main pool. The pool was facing the ocean! It was just great! I know I will be back to Cabo, and maybe even plan the same trip again.

We have our wedding photos already! I thought it was pretty fast. I hear stories how people have to wait six months or more to get their wedding pictures. Our album is posted on-line on Modern Image Studios website.
Click here to view or order. Type in our last name (both will work) to access the albums. :)
Literally. As I mentioned before we went to Mexico for 9 days for our well deserved honeymoon. We left on Friday, October 17 and came back on Saturday, October 25. It was pretty shocking after we landed at O'Hare... coming back from a 100 degree weather to, I would say less than 50... it was pretty brutal, we wore flipflaps and t-shirts on the plane... good thing my brother picked us up from the airport, I would not want to take a blue line home wearing summer clothes...
Anyway, our trip was great! We finally got to relax and have some fun, after the 9 long months of wedding planning (it's almost like having a baby, LOL). Cabo San Lucas is a great place for leisure vacation. As the native say - there are 352 sunny days in Cabo... and everyday we were there, the sky was beautiful blue, the sun was shining and it was HOT! That's all we wanted! Perfect vacation!
I will be posting pictures shortly, I still didn't have a chance to load them to my laptop... but hopefully this week...
As a nice surprise - after we got back - we received our wedding photos DVD's. The pictures are ready, and hopefully I get a chance to post few... now, I don't know what should I post first - honeymoon or wedding? :)

Yes, we got married on Saturday, September 27, 2008!
We had the most beautiful fall day you could only imagine. it was sunny and warm, couldn't ask for more! The day started pretty early for me and Tim. I was getting ready at our home, and Tim stayed in the hotel - I wanted to keep the old fashioned tradition and not see my groom until I walk down the isle. I have to admit I was pretty nervous in the limo, driving to church. Actually, I was nervous the whole morning. I"m not sure why, but it was a strange feeling. Once I saw Tim at the altar, and my father gave my hand to Tim - everything was fine. I wasn't nervous anymore!
The ceremony was beautiful, my favorite part - except the vows, of course - was walking to the Virgin Mary Side Altar together, to the tune of Ave Maria played on a guitar. It just sounded so great in this grand church! There is no words to describe that feeling. Some of our guest teared up...
After the ceremony the wedding party was invited for a ride on a trolley - we drove around the city to take pictures. It was so much fun! And I have to say the trolley was a great idea, much better than a limo - we had 18 people in the wedding party and 2 photographers, we had a lot of room, and we could stand up, walk, eat and drink ... fun!
Our first stop was our loft in the west loop - the courtyard of our building was a great backdrop for pictures. After that we went downtown - Michigan Avenue - that was fun, the whole wedding party in the middle of the Saturday rush ... I can't wait to see the pictures!
The last sop was in Lincoln park at the south pond - always loved that spot! Me and Tim used to work just a few steps from it. and it was a easy location to park the trolley, and get everybody outside.
We got to the reception around 6:30 pm, and I have to say - we had a blast! Tim put together the whole playlist for the party, so we knew the music was going to be great, and it was. We danced all night! The dance floor was full of people! Everybody had a great time!
It's nice to have the stress of planning over with! But I definitely could use a few more hours of partying!
Everything turned out PERFECTLY! We couldn't have a more perfect day!
Thank you everyone who could share this wonderful day with us! It was great to see family and friends! Thank you for making it special!

"Just this side of heaven is a place called
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
We love you Charlie so much! We miss you! We miss having you around and brightening our days! This one week you were with us was the best week we ever had! You were our sunshine! My little Baby Charlie! I would give everything to have you back with us! You are always be in our hearts, my love.
Charlie past away in a terrible accident on Saturday night. He only was with us for a week. Week and not a minute longer, we brought him home on 8/23 at 10 pm, and he died on 8/30 at 10 pm. He was the best ever! He was the love of our lives, this little puppy brought so much happiness to us. My Baby. Why? Why did you have to go Charlie??? You meant the world us! No one would ever be able to replace you! You were the one and only! I miss your cute little happy face every day! You went away and took a part of my heart with you! You changed our life!
We love you so much!
And we hope to see you some day on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge...

So for a while we've been wanting to get a puppy, and we finally got one! (I know the timing might not be exactly right - 4 weeks before the wedding - but it never is). I found him about 5 weeks ago on line and we couldn't resist. He was so cute. I wanted him to come home earlier but he was still a baby. We picked him up yesterday, drove to southern Indiana about 6 hours 1 way - it was a long trip - but it was so worth it.
He's name is Charlie and his a Yorkie Terrier. He was born on June 1, 2008 and he's abut 11 weeks old now. He is so small and so fast, he's running around the house like a little energizer bunny (he does skip like bunnies). His first night at new home he slept with us in bed - but I have to say - I didn't get any sleep... imagine the little 2 pounder laying next to you - I was worry we would squish him LOL
Anyway, he's doing great - looks like he's taking a nap right by my feet now. :)
Here are some photos we took:

Ok, finally I have a minute to post on our blog! It's been over 8 months since last time I opened our blog, and posted something. And it's all because our WEDDING!
There is so much to do that I have no time for my normal life! Yes we did get engaged last year and we started planning a wedding on the beginning of 2008. And since that my life's just been crazy (not that I posted that much before - but I just might do it more often now and after the wedding - when I will have nothing else to do) :)
