New Start in 2009
We decided to get another puppy. It took as quite some time to get ready again and put behind what happened to Charlie. It was not an easy decision, but finally we both agreed. I was looking everywhere, and to be honest, it's not easy to find a reliable breeder with cute puppies. I wanted to go to the same breeder we got Charlie from. I wrote Lynn a long email explaining what happened to Charlie, and I waited for her response. She was very understanding, and agreed to sell us another puppy. It was back in November, when she had a nice litter of 5 boys and a girl, and we picked one pup. We choose a boy, again. Girls are cute and great, but I just wanted a little boy.
We watched him grow since the earliest days of his life. It's amazing how fast they transform, and change. Every week they are changing, their hair gets longer, ears pup up, and they just get cutter and cutter. Here is my little boy, Christmas picture:
We still don't have a name for him. I think once we see him, it will be easier to name him. Today is the day we were going to pick him up, but Tim got sick and we had to cancel the trip. It's a long drive, and I didn't want to take chances. Hopefully we can go next Saturday. I can't wait!
If you are looking for a yorkie puppy, biewer puppy or a pomeranian - Lynn has them. Prices are vary, depending (I'm guessing) on the blood line, but they are very affordable compare to other breeders - I checked. And Lynn has the best looking pups ever! Believe me! Here is the website and contact information: Mother Daughter Yorkies they are located in southern Indiana.

BUSY YEAR 2008
In the retrospect last year 2008 was pretty busy. At one point I even got confused how old I was. For some reason I skipped a year and I thought I was going to be 31... than I started thinking about my brother's birthday in later January, and he is going to be 22, so if he's 22 and I am 10 years older - that would make me ... easy math - 32! yes, I am turning 32 in August... how did that happen... where did all those years go?
So as New Year approached, I decided to make few resolutions. I am not a big resolution person, but since I will be 32 soon, I should start about more healthy lifestyle. I am going to start exercise again, and eat healthier. The eating part will be hard because I love to cook, and I love to eat... so maybe I should think more of eating in moderation's... ok, I'll try that.
2008 was a good year. Life threw few curves on us, but we managed to get through and move forward. As the year started Tim was working on a project in Wisconsin and I was busy with planning the wedding. The first months were tough. I had to find a venue to accommodate our reception and, as I found out later, September is the most popular wedding month here in Chicago, so it was pretty challenging to find what we were looking for.
Wedding planning did take my entire 9 months - from January to September. But we managed to get ourselves a wedding gift - little yorkie puppy that was supposed to be the beginning of a family. Unfortunately it was not meant to be - the puppy died in a freaky accident... 3 weeks before the wedding. I have to admit it was hard, I never thought I would hurt so much after a loss of a puppy. He was our little baby - Charlie!
Tim's sister Pam threw us a wedding shower at her house in Grafton, Wisconsin. It was a nice Sunday afternoon we spent with friends and family.
My sister came from Poland to our wedding. She was here for a month. It was a crazy busy month - 2 weeks prior to the wedding and 2 weeks after. But she was here, and that what counts. I wouldn't want to get married without my closest family here. She was my Maid of Honor - and it meant a lot to me she could share this day with me.
Another surprise was my cousin - she came to my wedding from Poland also. That was kind of a surprise...
Wedding day came. I was pretty nervous that morning. We had a beautiful day, and the party was a lot of fun. Tim put together entire wedding play list. Everybody had fun on the dance floor.
Honeymoon was great. Over a week in paradise!
We managed to get out to a Halloween party - it was fun to dress up and pretend you're someone else. We got back from the honeymoon few days before the Halloween party, so they didn't have to many cool costumes to choose from... oh well... I still managed to look ok..
After the wedding and the honeymoon, I managed to start a food blog - something I always wanted to do. And finally it's there... I enjoy cooking, baking and writing about it on my Basic Taste Blog . Check it out ...
We spend some time with our families. Tim's parents were here for about 3-4 months before the wedding and my parents live right here in Niles, so we visit all the time. When both families meet it's a lot of fun and sometimes craziness...
I almost forgot - I became American Citizen, somewhere in June or July... now I have US passport, my first trip abroad was our honeymoon in Mexico...
I was browsing through the pictures and I want to post few pictures from 2008. Take a look:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
This year Christmas came so quickly. I thought it was going to slow down after the wedding, but no, life is crazy fast. I am starting to think that being in the city, in this fast pace environment makes it go so fast. Maybe it's time to move. Maybe a little suburbia would work well. And having a attached garage - that's a dream - Tim's dream...
Now we can only dream about it. But hopefully someday, we will be able to move to a house with a backyard, and enjoy slower, suburban life...
